Hello,
Arthur Adams (comic artist) art. 48 pages, large black and white drawings. Lots of sexy pinup girls with Adams mad details. Very nice pics with high quality, but no sketches or pages from his comics. Maybe in vol. 2?
Paul Richards small sized artbook/sketchbook (around 100 pages). Everything from scifi tech concepts to monsters, tentacles and X-Rated girls (not for kids). Weird and fun stuff and I love his style. One of my favorite concept artist today.
Paul Bonner's small sketchbook. 44 pages of hand drawn fantasy sketches (mostly goblins and monsters).
Spectrum's are the best collections of contemporary art and volume 20 continues same superb quality. Different medias, different styles, artists around the world and every page is beautiful. Much better that similar Expose books
Battlefield games art never been anything special, but third one was big step forward and latest one, BF4 has some nice environments. This artbook is collection of concept paintings of those environments. Only couple renders from characters and other assets, rest are env concepts. Most of text doesn't have any information value and those few which were talking about making of the game didn't rise my interest. Lots of good real concept paintings, but no painting to put on the wall and say wow.
Mathieu Lauffray's artbook. Great comic artist, concept designer and illustrator. 240 pages, good amount of text, but in French so I didn't understand anything... But art is awesome. Thick and heavy book, lots of pics from his comics, designs for movies, sketches and illustrations.
I bought pile of new artbooks around Xmas for myself. I have (too) many of them already, not enough room on bookcase. I need buy new one so I clear floor from book piles. I also noticed I don't have any kind catalog how many or which books I already have (same problem with DVD's and that led to buying some movies second time). So one of my New Year's resolutions was make artbook catalog (one was buy new bookcase/shelf). But why just make boring list, why not make short reviews or ranking of each book and maybe some thoughts/notes if there is any... and why not share them for those who are interested.
...so I'm going post simple reviews (with pics) of each book I have. 2-6 books (anything from huge books to small sketchbooks) in one journal entry and I try to make these at least once a week.
First set:

Maybe I just need to leave this site.
"A member of staff has reviewed a report concerning this deviation and has found that the work has no greater purpose other than as a personal attack against another deviant." DA removed my post about gallery here in DevianArt full of nudes of underage girls. That kind stuff is against their own policies and I only shared screenshot of public gallery. Something what everyone can see. I didn't say anything about owner of that gallery, didn't ask anyone to do anything, not even hinted. Just showed/presented what kind stuff DA is now full. DA is take side of pedophiles, and people who steal art from their own users... why I support this shit by posting my art here?
Yes, I'm the one who broke your policies :)
Yesterday I posted screenshot of ChisaiLadies gallery, full of underage sexualized content. I first posted it without censoring nude parts (sorry for that) and fixed it afterwards. Now I get message that my post breaks DA policies... while that person's whole gallery is still there, they're selling that material in DA, asking money to make more child porn in DeviantArt . And it's not hard to find many others who been doing that same thing long time. And I get shit under 24h. And can't find my comments on their yesterday post (and people's likes for it have gone from my notifications). Artstation all over again :( @team please do comment.
Blaaah, galleries are back
Almost deleted my gallery here, but it's good to have your work in the web somewhere... at least when you need to prove it's your work when nft and other wanker try to rob your work... Either they steal it for AI or NFT, you can't win. I have lots of stuff here over 700 images and videos, uploading them somewhere else is huge hassle. Order of images is all over the place, DA's tools to organize big amount of works are very limited, but it's not your problem, it's yours. I don't browse them myself :)
Don't Feed the Machines for free
I throwed my Artstation gallery into trash because they're are showing middle finger to their own customers and community. DeviantArt handled only slightly better their attempt to make money with Machine Learning. I didn't want delete my gallery here in DevianArt, but I moved everything under paid folder/gallery for safekeeping. I don't want any of you to pay to get access there. I might bring everything back for everyone to see them for free, or I might delete whole account. It depends how laws changes, are commercial and public Machine Learning models remade from scratch using only material they have rights and if DeviantArt take stand against AI models made using stolen images. PS: I say this again: I'm not against Machine Learning (aka AI art). But I'm NOT okay with steal others work and use it make money without any compensation.
